It was a great first NY deli experience. I placed my order very fast and the sandwich was made right in front of me in less than 10 minutes. The number 7 Reuben Pastrami Sandwich was phenomenal. The pastrami was so good and hot, the Russian dressing really added to the sandwich, and the sauerkraut wasn't too overpowering/too much of it. It was so good I ordered another one to go. Highly recommend.
They are quick, friendly and the couple of things I have tried have been great. Decent coffee too.
As a regular in the FiDi, I finally had the chance to stop in here and grab some breakfast. I got the hungry man which was eggs, hash browns cheddar and I added bacon on a hero. It was excellent! Nice and hot, the sandwich was big enough and the service was great. There's a large number of a drink and snack options, truly a great corner deli.
Pickup order review. Ordered on grub hub but it wasn't confirmed after 5 min so I called. John was really sweet and confirmed the order. He called back to let me know waffle machine wasn't working atm but offered similar options. Unfortunately they forgot the side of whipped cream but everything was great despite that. Grilled cheese w extra cheese is the way to go! Great morning spot.
I love getting sandwiches from local deli places! Great deli sandwich spot in Fidi. I recommend getting the rueben sandwich ($8.95) - if you add fries just say reuben deluxe ($10.95). Hefty juicy sandwich- very filling! I brought it back to Queens to eat so it was warm when I was able to bite into it- still delicious! You can always just toast or microwave it again to heat it up. The fries are great as well- the medium thick ones. I know if I had eaten it right when I got it - it would have been divine lol They have other items but I think this is the best one! I have tried the potato salad side as well- you can pick this up in the fridge, pretty good.
Five stars! Not sure what it was like before this change in management but this was the perfect picnic lunch to take to governor's island. We hopped off the subway hurrying towards the ferry we only had a few minutes before we needed to get on. Our Grubhub order was for 11. When we got there the food was already prepared and ready to go. Score! Food: we got the triple decker rueben and fries with coleslaw and the bbq burger with onion rings. Sooo worth the $1 upgrade. Those onion rings were delicious. The burger was juicy and the lettuce and tomato on the side was a nice touch. Honestly I normally don't expect a lot from corner delis but thought to write a review as I feel they are well deserving of more stars than are on their page. And also the food was hella good, perfectly packed for people who want to bring food for a little picnic!
Great deli in FiDi! Super crowded at lunchtime! Tons of sandwich choices, both hot & cold. Burgers, grill items, breakfast sandwiches. Full, fresh, behind-the-glass salad bar with all the fixins. Hot food selection is plentiful, and looks really good, however I have not tried any of the selections as yet. Hot table also behind glass (so you don't hafta worry about random people having picked through, touched, etc) (aka: not buffet style). I have tried both the chicken & regular (beef)cheesesteak - really good, and actually PHILLY style---American cheese, sautéed onions, shaved beef -(steakummm style) or chicken, on a hero. I added peppers & mushrooms to it when I got the chicken cheesesteak. Big selection of drinks, snacks, a few tables to eat at. They also sell cigarettes.
